Angela Richburg

Hi, I'm Angela. Thank you for being here. Chances are since you are here, you have experienced hurt from divorce, estrangement, or both, much like me. Divorce and estrangement, and a lifelong personal journey of growth and healing has led me to find my purpose in the pain through coaching others through these challenges. Both traumas cut me to my core. At times, the hurt and rejection felt so overwhelming, almost as though they were going to take me down completely and define my life. With help and support from safe trusted people and my faith, I learned that these traumas don't define me; they are simply part of my story- and, ultimately, they can be used for good.

As a Christian, my coaching practice is rooted in my faith. I believe that God created me in His image, that I am His child, and my worth is grounded in this truth. While living full in God's unconditional love remains a journey, it has been the most transformative lesson in my life. I trust that God has a plan for me and my family, even though it often takes hindsight to gain that clarity.

Divorce, parental alienation, and estrangement were never a part of my life plan, but they became my path to healing and personal growth. “Take two” -as my husband, Andrew and I call our marriage - has been CHALLENGING, but also so healing and rewarding. We continue to prioritize counseling and coaching, focusing on our individual growth so that we can come together as our healthiest selves. Healing inside of a safe relationship has been powerful for me. When my daughter cut us out of her life, despite being in a season of health and faith, I faced yet another heart-wrenching trauma, that touched on childhood trauma. But through the pain of estrangement, and the hard work in healing and finding my identity, I found my true purpose in coaching others who are navigating similar challenges.

The intersection of my life experiences, my values, and my training has sparked my passion for supporting others through divorce, blended family dynamics, and estrangement. I have experienced firsthand how transformative it can be to have support during such difficult seasons, and I want to offer that same support for you. I understand how HARD it is. I've been there. I've learned that healing is possible, and I am committed to walking beside you on your journey toward peace and wholeness. I promise that, in the end, there is healing.

I grew up in a broken home, with a desire to create a different, healthier family dynamic. At 22, I reached out for counseling, but without the right tools and support, I fell into the same generational patterns. By the age of 30, I found myself divorced with two young children. I remarried, Andrew, who had two middle school aged kids. We were in love, but blending our families proved to be a challenging and rewarding journey. Through it all, we were supported by fantastic counselors and coaches, and we continue to seek out this support to this day.

I hold two values above all else: wholeheartedness and connection. These values guide how I live my life and make decisions, and I strive to create the same atmosphere in my coaching practice. If we work together, I hope you will experience these values as I help you navigate your journey. Prior to coaching, my career was in human resources, where I loved helping people and building meaningful relationships. However, it wasn't quite the right fit. I eventually pursued a health coaching certification, driven by my passion for wellness. I have taught fitness classes and run a marathon (one was enough!), and I am deeply committed to my own health and the health of my family. And, as a former collegiate volleyball player, I still carry the competitive spirit that fuels my drive.

"Angela's coaching services have been a true lifeline for me as a step-parent. Her insight and experience helped me navigate the complexities of blending families with grace and understanding. She creates a safe, supportive space where I've felt empowered to share, heal, and grow. Thanks to her guidance, I've found more peace in my role and working towards a deeper connection within my family. I'm incredibly grateful for her compassionate and practical approach."
